Garbage & Yard Waste Policies

Garbage Pickup

All waste must be placed in containers or bags no greater than 35 gallons in capacity. Containers or bags should not weigh more than 50 lbs. All waste must be out by 7am and placed within 5 feet of the curb in front of the residential unit being serviced. Containers larger than 35 gallons in capacity may be used if waste is placed in bags and tied.

Yard Waste

All yard waste must be in bags, container, bundled and placed at the curb. Yard waste and tree trimmings must be placed directly on the curb in the same location as your household garbage. Grass clippings, leaves and pine straw must be bagged or containerized.  Waste Management will pick up no more than five (5) Yard Waste bags per pick-up.

NOTE:  Limbs shall be no longer than five (5) feet or have a diameter of no greater than six (6) inches. All tree, shrub or brush trimmings shall be bundled and shall not exceed forty (40) pounds and not more than two cubic yards per collection. Yard Waste resulting from activities of tree surgeon services or other tree trimming operations is excluded from the Collection Contractor’s obligation to collect.
